Compliance Specialist

Job Description
CCCU is looking for a talented Compliance Specialist to establish and maintain special deposit account types for our members. You will assist in the credit union's compliance with applicable rules and regulations while ensuring member service is delivered. This person will be responsible for assisting risk management and loss prevention practices to protect the credit union and our members from undue risk.

• Maintain an understanding of basic compliance topics and how they affect CCCU.
• Ability to interpret and understand laws, regulations and complex issues, investigate and solve problems, and provide workable recommendations and solutions.
• Respect the confidential nature of information received in the performance of duties and able to render impartial and unbiased judgments.
• Ability to work under pressure, to process multiple tasks concurrently with a high degree of accuracy, meeting deadlines, and able to interact and maintain a positive attitude under challenging circumstances.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and professionally within credit union and with external vendors.
• Act with integrity and a commitment to the highest ethical standards and personal values.
• Willingness to learn and develop both this position and self.
• Computer proficiency of Window® based applications.
• Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented, self-starter, able to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop at least a functional competency in data analytic software (currently Reporting Analytics) and Verafin.

Qualifications

• College degree, or 3-5 years credit union or banking experience preferred
• Familiarity with special deposit account types including but not limited to trusts, IRAs, Representative Payee, UTMA, and custodial accounts preferred.
• Previous customer services experience required
