Role: Analyze consumer loan applications according to lending policy/procedures while ensuring loan quality, maximizing loan growth and minimizing consumer loan portfolio losses.

 

Work Type: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Administrative Office in St. Paul, MN.

Following the training period, the regular schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze and render decisions focusing on consumer lending products including, but not limited to personal loans, automobile loans, recreational vehicle loans, and credit cards.
  • Maintain credit standards, policies and procedures and manage exceptions within acceptable tolerance and communicate decisions to internal members.
  • Make credit decisions in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and analyze vehicle loan applications submitted by our indirect dealer partners.
  • Analyzes applicants’ financial status; credit history and collateral evaluation; communicates with dealership and/or loan officer to resolve loan application questions.
  • Refers loan applications exceeding established lending authority to appropriate management level.
  • Properly evaluate and document exceptions to guidelines and/or policies.
  • Provide support to team members; collaborate on loan applications and assist in making recommendations.
  • Handles inbound calls and emails regarding loan applications. 
  • Evaluate applications for potential sales opportunities to cross sell, up sell and/or pre-approve additional products and services.

  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements

Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses

  • Minimum High School degree or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 2-3 years related or similar financial institution experience. 

Demonstrated Knowledge

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Computer skills including Microsoft products. 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Organized, detail oriented. 

Communication Skills

Ability to proactively respond to members/employees to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.   

 

Physical Requirements 

Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal employees and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

The salary range for this position is: $28.56-$32.50/hour. This range reflects the base salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
