Expedition Credit Union is seeking a fun & energetic Member Service Representative (MSR) for our Woodbury, MN Branch!


Responsibilities include:

  1. Operate and balance cash drawers daily, with minimal balancing and transactional errors.
  2. Sales Experience to provide other products and services.
  3. Achieve individual performance goals as assigned and positively contribute to branch and credit union goal attainment.
  4. Point of contact for our members, provide best in class service and make informed recommendations to help our members achieve their financial goals.
  5. Exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
  6. Contributes to business results by opening new deposit accounts (savings, checking, etc.) and by making outbound/inbound phone calls
  7. Educate members on how Expedition CU can meet their individual needs
  8. Identify referral opportunities to other staff/departments by using effective rapport building with members
  9. Operate and balance cash drawer daily with minimal balancing errors.
  10. Protect member and credit union assets and mitigate risk by identifying and preventing fraudulent or suspicious activity.

 

*Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a background check.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  1. Basic math skills and cash handling experience to count cash and balance cash drawer accurately and proficiently is Required.
  2. Prior experience working in a credit union or bank as a member service representative or teller is beneficial but not required as we are willing to train.
  3. Evidence of excellent verbal communication skills along with an outgoing personality that demonstrates a positive, friendly and energetic attitude.
  4. 2+ years of work experience in a sales, retail or customer service environment with demonstrated success in achieving established goals by using independent judgment is preferred.
  5. Organized & detail oriented.
  6. Proven written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  7. Maintains a strong working knowledge of all products & services offered by the credit union.
  8. Must know (or be willing to learn) all applicable regulatory/compliance relating to this position.

 

Job Details:

  • Full-time (37.50 hours/week)
  • Monday through Friday (excluding most federal holidays)
  • 8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Travel within the metro may be required from time to time.
