VP of Retail Branches

A successful VP of Retail Banking will be able to do:

  • Promotes TopLine customer service culture, Red Book philosophy and values ensuring quality and teamwork in all areas by coaching and providing support in the department and throughout the organization.
  • Leads by example in setting the highest standard of TopLine’s Red Book service for credit union members, employees and business partners.
  • Develop and implement branch strategies to enhance member experience, increase efficiency, and drive growth.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Branch Managers and the Director of Retail Branches to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align retail branch and MCC goals with overall organization objectives.
  • Align retail branches and MCC with TopLine’s vision, mission and values.
  • Oversee retail branches and MCC ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high service standards.
  • Work with VP of Operations and Director of Retail Branches to implement best practices and process improvements to enhance member experience and operational productivity.
  • Foster a member-centric culture by ensuring exceptional service delivery at all branches and MCC.
  • Work with Learning and Development to develop and implement training programs to enhance employee engagement and service quality.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Work closely with the Director of Retail Branches and VP of Operations to ensure branch managers receive necessary support, training, and development.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless cross-functional support for retail branches and MCC.
  • Act as a third point of escalation for member complaints that cannot be resolved at the branch level or by the Director of Retail Branches.
  • Monitor member feedback, complaints and suggestions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular touch bases with Branch Managers, Director of Retail Branches, Director of Sales and VP of Operations.
  • Complete performance reviews, set goals, and provide development opportunities to ensure staff engagement and retention.
  • Work with Director of Retail Branches and Director of Sales to drive front-line branch cross-selling initiatives, including deposits, referrals and other financial products.
  • Work with the Director of Sales, Director of Retail Branches and Branch Managers to drive deposit growth, loan production, and member engagement through effective sales and service strategies.
  • Host monthly Branch Manager meetings, inviting other departments as warranted to provide updates, current promotions, new initiatives, etc.
  • Monitor branch expenses and budget adherence to ensure profitability.
  • Oversee adherence to all regulatory, legal, and policy requirements in retail branches and MCC.
  • Collaborate with compliance, audit, operations and risk teams to mitigate risk
  • Ensure branches maintain high levels of security and fraud prevention measures.
  • Ensure completion of annual Branch Security Audits and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Assist in providing necessary information for internal or external audits and exams.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree or related combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a senior operational role within the financial industry specifically in managing a branch network for a bank or credit union.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of operational processes, compliance requirements and industry best practices.
  • Experience in strategic planning, project management, and process improvement.
  • Proficiency in technology platforms and systems relevant to credit union operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and drive organizational change.
  • Commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.

 

Salary Range: $120, 395.80 – $160, 527.73 (salary)
