Branch Manager

Position Objective:

The Branch Manager will direct and supervise the teller, member service representative, and financial service officer roles of the assigned branch location, ensuring delivery of quality customer service to members, building relationships between the member and the credit union, while promoting outreach within the branch community to ensure growth of membership, deposits, and loans for future sustainability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor day-to-day operations and branch activity of teller, member service and financial service areas
• Recommend, implement, and supervise the budget for the branch
• Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, maintain effective employee relations
• Coach staff in product and service knowledge to enhance member relationships and support the growth and development to optimize talent
• Participate in strategic planning and the development of credit union policies, procedures and goals
• Apply and select policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies. Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
• Conduct loan interviews. Oversee the consumer lending functions of the credit union through review, communication and education of the other branch managers and lending staff.
• Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems.
• Conducts regular job performance of staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Provide feedback and growth opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Proven Leadership and Management Skills with previous supervisory experience
• Strong communication skills
• Proven experience in training and developing employees
• Ability to prioritize, analyze, and make on-the-spot decisions regarding member’s accounts
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the various federal regulations that impact credit unions and lending
• Broad experience of credit union products, services, policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications

• Concentrated experience in lending processes and regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Training to assist in diffusing volatile situations

Environment and Physical Demands:

The majority of work will require sitting/standing while using the computer, and participating in meetings (in person, while on the phone, or online).  Using finger dexterity for typing on the keyboard plus reading and viewing computer monitor.

Work Location

Employee will work in an office setting with low noise level, full-time Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm, with occasional weekend work during business hours.  Travel to other branch locations may be required on occasion.
