Summary

As the Vice President of Accounting at Accentra Credit Union, you will lead our accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to our strategic planning and operational efficiency, aligning with our mission to serve our members with integrity and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions and personnel.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Lead the accounting team by providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for process improvements within the accounting department.
• Provide financial guidance to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Oversee and direct investment and ALM activities including leading all committee meetings.
• Develop annual budget.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Credit Union accounting experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within accounting or finance departments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and drive performance improvements.
• Analytical skills
• Experience in strategic planning and project management is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
