Description

New hires will receive a $1000.00 sign-on bonus ($500 after 90-days of employment, then $500 after 180-days).

SMW Financial Credit Union is seeking an individual to join the Accounting Department at our Lino Lakes branch.
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for posting transactions, account reconciliations, maintaining card dispute resolutions and report generation among other specific functions.  The successful candidate will join a team of three other individuals and report to the CFO.  This position is starting at 30 hours/week, 9AM to 3:30PM Monday through Friday.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

• Education in Accounting/Finance, post-secondary preferred
• Banking or credit union experience preferred
• 1 year of continuous employment at the same place
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to better support other departments of the Credit Union
• Ability to comprehend the importance of, and following procedures
• Proven understanding and interest in accounting and finance
• Ability to research, problem solve and clearly communicate conclusions to others
• Willingness and flexibility to with others
• Ability to or sit for long periods of time
• Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, and adaptable to different data systems
• Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
