Retail Development Specialist
We’re looking for a professional, motivated, and creative individual to join our Retail team. This is an in-branch position that supports our Retail team members which includes, Engagement and Senior Engagement Specialists (tellers & account openers). The person in this role will primarily be training new team members, working in our core systems, will become a subject matter expert in our products and services and will provide excellent customer service to our members.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate engaging and dynamic training face-to-face, virtually and in alternative instructional settings to meet the needs of the retail team.
Execute and evaluate the Retail department's new hire onboarding and training effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback.
Assist members as needed when in-branch.
Recommend improvements to enhance the member experience and strengthen proficiencies within the Retail team.
Frequent travel within our network of branches.
Use Microsoft applications and other computer programs daily.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Three or more years of experience working in a financial institution.
Experience in sales and training teams; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, vendors, and customers.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
FICEP certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
Valid driver license and comfortable with operating a company vehicle.
Available to travel and work in various branch locations regularly during a typical workweek.
Must be able to work one or more evenings per month and an occasional Saturday.
Intermediate level knowledge using Microsoft office applications (Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and other development tools.
Schedule
Schedule will vary, Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Occasional evening and Saturdays 9 a.m. -12 p.m.
Wage & Hour Details
Full-time, 37-40 hours per week
Pay is hourly
Starting pay range: $25.00 - $30.00/hr., pay commensurate with experience
