Engagement Specialist
We are looking for a professional, customer service-oriented individual to join our team as an Engagement Specialist (teller). This position is responsible for executing financial transactions for our members,including opening foundational accounts in a timely and accurate manner to promote and maintain positive member relationships. The ability to effectively build relationships with prospective and existing members is of the utmost importance as each person’s financial journey is different. A successful day serving our members includes providing knowledge on credit union products, services, and policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to all credit union members.
Identify members’ financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
Execute accurate financial transactions.
Perform day-to-day, in-branch, operational duties.
Cash handling.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of experience in a customer-focused role.
Cash handling experience.
Intermediate to advanced user level experience with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
The ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both verbally and in writing, to individuals with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
Comfortable with continuous interactions with the public throughout the workday.
Experience in and comfortable with deescalating situations with upset customers.
Schedule
Schedule will vary, Monday – Friday 7:45 a.m. – 6:15 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. -12 p.m.
Wage & Hour Details
Full-time, 37-40 hours per week
Pay is hourly
$18-$19/hr., pay commensurate with experience
