Human Resources Manager

Our Human Resources Manager is responsible to manage daily departmental operations, programs, and initiatives. Responsible to support a culture of trust, empathy, transparency, teamwork, and kindness. Will advise and coach managers on human resource policies and procedures, and act as an advocate and coach to support employee needs and business operations through servant leadership.

Responsibilities

The Human Resources Manager will ensure policies, procedures and human resource programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements and laws. Plan, manage and coordinate all human resources initiatives, recruitment, payroll, compensation, benefits, and employee relations of an organization. Among other duties, the human resources manager is responsible for the following:

  • Manage and assist in all human resources initiatives, including recruitment, talent management, performance management, DEI, culture, compensation, benefits, payroll, onboarding, and employee relations of the credit union, with the goal of achieving a true and lasting competitive advantage.
  • Support innovation in recruiting, onboarding, retention, and succession planning strategies.
  • Support the development, and coordination of personal and career development, performance appraisal process, compensation systems, diversity, and benefit programs.
  • Manages the credit union’s AAP, diversity, inclusion, and pay equity initiatives to ensure credit union goals are met.
  • Manages the implementation and administration of all aspects of the employee payroll and benefit programs.
  • Oversees employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, interpretation of policies, new employee orientation, and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and human resource programs are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals, and follow professional standards, local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and laws.
  • Assures credit union hiring practices, compensation policies, pay practices, payroll administration, and benefits follow federal, state, and local laws.
  • Manages initiatives relating to the credit union’s AAP, DEI, ensuring effectiveness of initiatives in achieving credit union goals and monitoring ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Engages with reputable vendors and ongoing management of vendor relationships per internal policies and procedures.
  • Oversees appropriate response to and/or resolution of employee issues or concerns, and coaches' management in the effective and lawful resolution of employee issues.
  • Oversees and supports the completion and filing of all regulatory reporting.
  • Manage human resource initiatives, recruitment, talent management, payroll administration, compensation, benefits administration, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops human resources staff.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Three years’ experience in a management role required.
  • Five years of prior related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
